Two members of the Los Angeles Rams raised their fists during the national anthem before Monday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Wide receiver Kenny Britt and defensive lineman Robert Quinn both raised their fists as a show of pride during the anthem. The two are the latest to join a movement spreading throughout the league of African-American players protesting the anthem to bring attention to social issues, such as the mistreatment of African-Americans by police.

The trend was started by Colin Kaepernick, who along with teammate Eric Reid, kneeled for the anthem prior to the game at Levi’s Stadium.

The actions of Britt and Quinn may have come as a surprise to Rams executives, who apparently were not expecting any gestures from their players during the anthem.

We imagine their actions did not sit well with supermodel Kate Upton, nor many others.
