What Do You Know About The Premier League’s Newest Managers?

Jose Zlatan GettyThe season is finally back!

Some things remain the same – Manchester City are still playing in front of a half empty stadium – but there are a raft of new managers in the top flight this season.

No less than seven teams have swapped bosses, and Hull City are currently being guided by Mike Phelan on a caretaker basis, although it didn’t affect them as they toppled Leicester City on the opening weekend.

But how much do you know about the new guys in the dugouts? Take our quiz and test yourself!

Anything more than five and you can consider yourself as knowledgeable as Jose Mourinho, but anything less than three and you’re about as much use as Alberto Moreno.

How did you do? Let us know in the comments and challenge your mates to take you on!

Newest Dodger Josh Reddick struggling with LA traffic

http://i2.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/josh-reddick.jpg?fit=560%2C459

Josh Reddick

Josh Reddick was acquired by the Los Angeles Dodgers from the Oakland A’s earlier this week ahead of the MLB trade deadline, and he’s having some trouble with his new team so far.

The outfielder has struggled at the plate as he was hitless over his first two games with the team. He’s also adjusting to the traffic in Los Angeles.

Reddick’s first series with the Dodgers upon being traded was in Colorado against the Rockies. On Friday the team opened up a 9-game homestand, which meant it was Reddick’s first chance to commute to the stadium on his own. That apparently was quite the adventure.

Traveling from nearby Glendale to Dodger Stadium, Reddick said his drive took an hour and involved multiple freeway entrances and wrong way turns.

One check at Google Maps shows that a drive from the center of Glendale to Dodger Stadium — during rush hour — should be just over 20 minutes. Reddick’s drive took triple that time (DiGiovanna later corrected the initial tweet to say one hour not two for the drive).

The traffic in LA is bad and unpredictable, so Reddick will have to learn how to adjust accordingly. Or he can always try the Yasiel Puig plan.

Zlatan Gushes About Teammate, Football’s Newest Bromance Has Arrived

It’s safe to say Zlatan Ibrahimovic is enjoying life at Manchester United.

Well, except switching hotels because the Lowry didn’t have a swimming pool, but everything else is great.

He scored a stunning bicycle kick on his debut, and seems happy with his new team mates, if his latest quotes are anything to go by.

Wayne Rooney’s testimonial took place earlier this week, and Zlatan is preparing to play alongside the long-serving striker next season, and sees the Englishman as the perfect strike partner.

Speaking about Rooney, Zlatan said:

I said many years ago the perfect partner for a striker is Wayne Rooney. He works not only for himself but for the striker and the whole team. I’m absolutely happy to be one of the guys beside him.

I think he’s had a fantastic career. He’s been here a long time, I think he came when he was 18 and, like you said, it’s 12 years.

It’s not easy to be in top clubs for so many years. Players come and go. Top players are coming and going but he is still staying.

One of those top players is Ibrahimovic himself, and with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard pushing for a place in the United team, the future looks bright for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Rooney is expected to be a role model for Rashford and co. and Zlatan agrees that the 30-year-old is the perfect person for the job.

Ibrahimovic continued:

I think he is a perfect example for young players to look at and take after. He’s been playing such a long time for a top club and giving results year after year.

Not everybody can succeed with that but he is one of them.

I’m very happy I’m in his team and will do my best to help him win.

United’s season officially starts on Sunday when they take on Leicester City in the Community Shield, against the team Jose Mourinho faced before losing his job at Chelsea.
