Mesut Ozil Confirms Role As King Of Assists With Ultimate Gesture

Mesut Ozil Confirms Role As King Of Assists With Ultimate Gesture

As we all know, Mesut Ozil just loves an assist.

He loves helping people, whether it be sliding a pass through to Olivier Giroud (who will promptly miss), or helping push a transfer over the line – he just can’t help himself.

And it’s off the field that the German has helped lately, after convincing Shkodran Mustafi to join Arsenal from Valencia.

Mustafi has been the subject of a long-winded transfer chase for the Gunners, who finally announced his arrival yesterday.

At one point, it looked like breaking down as the clubs refused to come to an agreement on the fee, but it’s finally over, and Ozil put a good word in for the Gunners.

Speaking to Sky Germany, Mustafi revealed:

I spoke with Mesut.

He told me everything I wanted to know. How the club is, how it’ s run.

Everything he said was very positive, and I was quickly convinced since I find the club awesome.

It’s not quite the typical English club who plays the typical English football but instead the football that I like.

Ozil has provided countless assists over the years, but this one may just be the biggest of them all, as Arsenal’s defensive crisis threatens to derail their Premier League title challenge before it’s even started.

To be fair, managing to convince a top quality defender to join a club that will look great until February before crashing and burning in spectacular fashion is very impressive.

Nice one, Mesut, you may have just massively increased Arsenal’s chances of not becoming a laughing stock this season.

LeBron James: ‘Ultimate Warrior’ T-Shirt Not a Golden State Diss

http://i1.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/lebron-james-ultimate-warrior-t.jpg?fit=640%2C360

After snatching the Golden State Warriors’ souls in the 2016 NBA Finals, LeBron James’ wardrobe during the Cleveland Cavaliers’ title celebration drew quite a bit of attention.

King James says rocking an “Ultimate Warrior’ tee was purely coincidental.

LeBron also downplayed the possibility of starring in a “Space Jam” sequel this summer.

Per Business Insider:

So game seven, the play everybody talks about is your chasedown block. ESPN clocked you going 19 miles an hour to get from half court to where you could slam that ball against the backboard in just a few seconds. Where does that play rank for you? Is that your No. 1 LeBron play of all time?

James: “I would have to say, just coming off the top of my mind, that would definitely rank No. 1 — just because of the magnitude of the game and what was going on at that point in the game. […] I had to run through a couple guys and get around a couple guys to get to that position. And it was a big moment, not only for that particular moment in the game, but for Cleveland sports history now that you can look back upon it. A lot of people are saying so. […] A lot of people will base a game-winning jump shot, or dunk, or something that happened offensively. But for my legacy to be a block or something defensively to help us win, that’s the ultimate for me.”

You were wearing an Ultimate Warrior shirt when you got off the plane. People loved that — well, or hated it. Be honest: Did you pack that before you won game seven? How’d you wind up wearing that shirt?

James: “Well, it’s funny because my wife bought [it earlier]. She asked me who my favorite wrestlers of all time were, and I told her Sting, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker, and Ric Flair. Those are some of my favorite guys ever from growing up. […] So, one day I get home from practice, and there are these T-shirts laying in my bedroom, and my wife purchased them from a store. I packed them all throughout the playoffs. And the shirt that I had on to come home in, I wore in Vegas, and my teammates sprayed me with Champagne. It got soaking wet, so I had to throw it in the trash, and the only other shirt I had in my bag was my Ultimate Warrior T-shirt.”
