Calvin Johnson has already found a way to keep busy now that he has retired from the NFL — he’s going to dance.

It was revealed on “Good Morning America” Tuesday that Johnson will be one of the contestants on Season 23 of “Dancing With the Stars.” The former Detroit Lions wide receiver will join Ryan Lochte, IndyCar racer James Hinchcliffe, former GOP presidential candidate Gov. Rick Perry and others.

Megatron could run into a small problem, however. According to Johnson’s sister, he is going to have to work really hard to learn how to dance.

The last NFL player who appeared on DWTS insisted the competition helped with his footwork on the field, but Johnson doesn’t need to worry about that anymore. Perhaps a dancing contest will help fill some of the void left by no longer playing football.

Stanley Johnson has been tearing up the Drew League this summer and this weekend was no exception. The Pistons forward threw down two massive dunks yesterday–including one off of a missed free throw–during a 23-point, 7-rebound, 4-steal performance.

Check out the dunks above.

After already losing Malcom Floyd to retirement and Ladarius Green to free agency this offseason, Philip Rivers is now down another weapon.

According to a report by Michael Silver of NFL Network on Monday, Chargers wide receiver Stevie Johnson has a torn meniscus and will need surgery.

The 30-year-old Johnson went down awkwardly after making a catch in practice on Sunday. Andrew Burer of The Mighty 1090 shared video of the play where Johnson was hurt.

The former Kentucky Wildcat caught 45 passes for 497 yards and three touchdowns for San Diego in 2015. He will receive a second opinion before undergoing surgery, and a return timetable will be determined after that point, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Johnson is under contract through the 2017 season, and we can only hope that this injury doesn’t rob him of whatever explosiveness/playmaking ability he has left in the tank.

Andre Johnson agrees to two-year deal with Titans

Andre Johnson

Andre Johnson’s AFC South tour is nearly complete.

According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN on Friday, Johnson has agreed to a two-year deal with the Tennessee Titans, who will help absorb some of the money he is still owed by the Indianapolis Colts.

Johnson, 35, appeared in all 16 games for Indianapolis last season, registering 503 receiving yards and four touchdowns. The seven-time Pro Bowler used to be one of the top wideouts in football but has struggled in recent years with route running and drops (perhaps due in part to age) and was featured sparsely in the Colts offense as a result. Johnson shut down some retirement rumors this offseason and worked out for Tennessee earlier this week.

The ex-Houston Texan will hopefully be another weapon for Marcus Mariota alongside Harry Douglas, Dorial Beckham-Green, Kendall Wright, and fellow newcomer Rishard Matthews, but there just doesn’t appear to be much upside left for the declining Johnson.
