Bills LBs take Uber to stadium after being left behind by team bus

Two Buffalo Bills players had to find their own way to the stadium on Sunday after the team bus left them behind.

Jerry Hughes posted a video on Instagram that showed him riding in the back of an Uber car with fellow Bills linebacker Zack Brown. Beware that the video contains a curse word:

Gameday baby

“When your team bus don’t wanna wait up for the boys so we used the homie — Uber in this b–ch,” Hughes said with a big smile on his face.

Don’t worry, guys. Team buses are overrated. Remember what happened to the Denver Broncos on the way to a game last year? Hughes and Brown may have scored themselves a comfier ride to downtown Baltimore for their game against the Ravens.

Clemson receiver channels DeSean Jackson, costs his team a TD

http://i2.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Screen_20Shot_202016-09-10_20at_202.21.24_20PM.0.png?fit=640%2C426
Never celebrate too early, kids.

Oh no, Clemson. The No. 2 ranked Tigers were leading by just three points over Troy, and had the chance to take a ten-point lead on a punt return.

Clemson’s Ray-Ray McCloud made a great return from about the Tigers’ own 30 yard line and took it to the house — but not before he celebrated too early and dropped it before crossing the goal line.

The call on the field was a touchdown, but it was overturned — the refs made the right call and ruled it a touchback for the Trojans upon review.

This play is reminiscent of none other than wide receiver DeSean Jackson — who has now twice dropped the ball before reaching the goal line. He’s done so infamously since 2013 and most recently last season against the Green Bay Packers.

Word to the wise: Don’t start celebrating too early.

MLS Team Valuations According to FORBES

http://i2.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/MLS-Team-Values-Forbes.jpg?fit=640%2C410
mls-team-values-forbes

Forbes just released its MLS Team Evaluation list today and although some changes from last year in order, there aren’t a ton of surprises on this list.

Clocking in at the top spot, the Seattle Sounders continue their reign as the most valuable team in MLS, with a value of $ 285 million US.

The Galaxy pull up in second with a little bit more revenue, but an overall value of about $ 20 m’s less, at $ 265.

NYCFC comes in third with a valuation just behind LAG at $ 255, with lower revenue and a negative operating income. Makes sense though, they have some pretty high priced talent and they arent playing in their own barn.

Toronto FC is in the four spot at $ 245 m’s in value, operating at a loss as well, but they just redid their house.

Orlando City SC rounds out the top 5 at $ 240 million.

You can view the full list here on Forbes.

For some context on the growing league, the average team value is up 18% from last year, at $ 185, with all of the league’s teams topping 9 figures.

For even more context, if you look at the first time FORBES evaluated the finances of MLS teams, things were vastly different. In 2008, MLS teams had an average value of $ 37 million, with only a few teams over $ 40. The league itself was not making money, or operating at a loss, and there were only seven soccer-specific stadiums.

That’s less than a decade ago.

Think of what this ting is going to look like in a decade….

Freshman Football Team Finds Out No National Anthem Before Game. With No Music Playing, They Change All That.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick ignited a national controversy when he sat during “The Star-Spangled Banner” before a preseason game and took a knee during the anthem the following week.

Kaepernick cited minority oppression as the reason for his protest and vowed to continue it “until that flag represents what it’s supposed to represent.”

Other athletes have followed suit:

So as the first Sunday of NFL games approaches for the 2016 season — landing poignantly on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks — a great deal of attention will be paid to what players, if any, opt out of standing for the national anthem.

But getting considerably less attention is what a high school freshman football team from Flint, Michigan, did amid the anthem furor.

On the last day of August, the Lapeer Lightning’s squad hit the field before their away game against Carman-Ainsworth and heard the announcer say there would be no national anthem prior to the contest.

With that, the Lapeer freshman players stood on their sideline, removed their helmets, faced the flag and — with no music playing — sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” themselves.

“Our crowd stood with them for every note!” Chell Byrnes wrote on her Facebook post. “Very proud to be a Lightning Mom tonight!!”

Eddie L. Kindle, Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools superintendent, told Liftable that “like most schools in the state of Michigan, we choose to play the national anthem prior to the highest level of competition” — which that day was the later junior varsity game. He added that the format didn’t amount in any way to a protest and that the district would never refuse to play the anthem.

For Lapeer head coach Bryan Sahr, it was a unique moment: “I’ve been with most of these players for three years now,” he told Liftable. “They’re just an awesome group of kids. It makes me incredibly emotional, and I don’t usually get emotional.”

Team USA Hockey Coach Warns Players What Will Happen if They Sit for National Anthem

http://i0.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/GettyImages-450320837-620x394.jpg?fit=620%2C394
The coach of Team USA for the upcoming World Cup of hockey is standing by his vow to bench players who refuse to stand for the national anthem.

Coach John Tortorella told ESPN Tuesday, “If any of my players sit on the bench for the national anthem, they will sit there the rest of the game.”

According to ESPN, Tortorella reiterated his remarks Wednesday.

“I’m not backing off,” Tortorella said. “I’ll tell you right now. Try to understand me. I’m not criticizing anybody for stepping up and putting their thoughts out there about things. I’m the furthest thing away from being anything political. No chance I’m involved in that stuff.”

Team USA coach John Tortorella (Ben Nelms/Getty Images)

Team USA coach John Tortorella (Ben Nelms/Getty Images)

He added that he has a son who is on his third deployment to Afghanistan as a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces and that America is a great country:
Listen, we’re in a great country because we can express ourselves. And I am not against expressing yourselves. That’s what’s great about our country. We can do that.

But when there are men and women that give their lives for their flag, for their anthem, have given their lives, continue to put themselves on the line with our services for our flag, for our anthem, families that have been disrupted, traumatic physical injuries, traumatic mental injuries for these people that give us the opportunity to do the things we want to do, there’s no chance an anthem and a flag should come into any type of situation where you’re trying to make a point. It is probably the most disrespectful thing you can do as a U.S. citizen is to bring that in. Because that’s our symbol.

Tortorella’s remarks follow a controversy surrounding San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s protest of the national anthem.

He said a member of the U.S. Army recently addressed the team.

“We are playing hockey,” Tortorella added. “Other people are doing real stuff. This gentleman who spoke to us this morning is doing the real stuff. Life and death. We just want to give to our country in our own little way. Quite honestly we are entertainers. What this man talked about in our locker room and what he does casts a huge shadow over us as far as what we’re doing.”

Rangers manager forcing coach to leave team to watch son play QB for Texas

http://i2.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/shane-buechele-pass.jpg?fit=500%2C303

Shane Buechele pass

One of the Texas Rangers’ coaches is being forced to take a leave … but it’s actually for a good reason.

Rangers manager Jeff Banister is insisting his bench coach Steve Buechele leave the team on Sunday to go watch his son, Shane, make his college debut as a true freshman quarterback for Texas.

“If he’s still here, I might walk out and tell the umpires to throw him out,” Banister said of Buechele, according to the Dallas Morning News’ Gerry Fraley.

Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong has not publicly named a starting quarterback, but all signs — including Banister’s decree — point to Shane Buechele starting Sunday night against Notre Dame.

Shane Buechele threw for 73 touchdowns and rushed for 21 scores during his high school career at Lamar High in Arlington. He played brilliantly in the spring game in April, which put him on track to claim the starting job for the Longhorns.

The 10 team Big 12 is down to 6 to 8 teams as expansion candidates. Here are all 11.

http://i0.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/usa-today-8891113.0.jpg?fit=640%2C426

This is the strangest sport on earth.

The hubbub surrounding Big 12 expansion has died down now that the season is only days away. Last we left the conference, they not only decided they were going to entertain expanding, but they build up an impressively long list of expansion candidates. The list even included teams that had no idea they were being considered, but that’s in the past now that the conference has whittled its list of candidate schools down to "six or eight" schools, according to CBS4’s Jim Benemann.

First, we know some of the schools that did not make the cut. East Carolina, despite their enthusiastic efforts, will not be joining the Big 12, and neither will UNLV or New Mexico.

So, which six or eight teams made the cut? Maybe these 11 did.

From Benemann’s story, we have word that both Colorado State has made it, but also that Air Force is still alive as a possible football-only option. Temple is reportedly still talking to the Big 12, and from this story we also hear that Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis, UConn, USF, UCF, and "two other American Athletic Conference schools" are still in it. Temple would obviously be one of those two schools, and since East Carolina is no longer in the running, it seems the other American school still shooting for the Big 12 is SMU. Throw in BYU, which has been rumored to the Big 12 since the beginning, and there you have it.

Eight of the ten schools in the Big 12 would need to approve the addition of a new member, so with so many teams still left in the field, it’s hard to imagine there isn’t another cutdown coming to thin out the field of candidates. We conducted our own poll of Big 12 blogs here at SB Nation, and none of the expansion candidates were able to get the consensus necessary for being added in real life. If you actually look at what the Big 12 is looking for in an expansion candidate, BYU, Cincinnati, and UConn each stand out, but Houston has Texas’ backing.

Or, they could just pick two teams and be done with it.

Tim Tebow receives contract offer from independent league team

http://i0.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/tim-tebow-baseball-1.jpg?fit=600%2C367

Tim Tebow baseball

Tim Tebow has received another offer to play professional baseball, although this one is much less serious than his previous offer.

The Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League offered Tebow a baseball contract on Wednesday.

“The Bluefish welcome Tim with open arms,” said Bluefish General Manager Jamie Toole. “The Atlantic League is all about giving players opportunity, and we think Bridgeport would be a great place for him to begin his professional baseball career.”

What makes this a publicity stunt of sorts? The fact that the Atlantic League’s regular season ends in less than three weeks. That wouldn’t be enough time for Tebow to do much. Let’s also not forget that this team made headlines earlier this year by having Jennie Finch guest manage the team for a day.

Tebow already has a legitimate offer from a Venezuelan winter league team outstanding, and he received interest from a handful of MLB teams after his workout Tuesday.

Getting his feet wet in independent league ball wouldn’t be the worst thing for Tebow, but it makes sense for him to hold out for something better.

This Chart Tells You Which Team Scores The Most ‘Fergie Time’ Goals

This Chart Tells You Which Team Scores The Most ‘Fergie Time’ Goals

Aguero Getty QPRGetty

The phrase ‘Fergie time’ has become a popular part of football culture over the past decade.

It comes from Sir Alex Ferguson’s famous watch tapping back in Manchester United’s glory days, where seemingly every week there’d be extra minutes added on at the end of games – in which the Red Devils would score.

But, the Daily Mail has done some research, and it turns out United are not even close to the top of the table when it comes to most goals scored in injury time in the Premier League era.

Rashford Getty vs Hull 1Getty

No, it actually turns out that Liverpool are the side that have scored the most injury time winners, with United way down in fifth place – ironically where they finished in real life last season.

Liverpool’s 28 goals is seven clear of second placed Arsenal (also where they finished last season), with Chelsea and Everton making up the top four.

Then come United in fifth with 18, way ahead of Manchester City who have bagged just ten – although one of those was Sergio Aguero’s incredible winner against Queens Park Rangers.

Bruce Getty MUGetty

It was the Red Devils who made ‘Fergie time’ a thing though, starting with Steve Bruce’s header against Sheffield Wednesday back in 1993 – when Marcus Rashford (who scored United’s latest winner against Bruce’s former side, Hull, this weekend) wasn’t even born.

And who can forget Michael Owen’s winner for United against Liverpool in 2009? And Federico Macheda’s momentum shifting strike against Aston Villa later that year?

But it turns out they’re nowhere near Liverpool in terms of numbers of late winners, with Stan Collymore’s clincher against Newcastle United in 1996 the most famous of the lot, as the Geordies managed to blow winning the Premier League after leading by 12 points in April.

Here’s the full top ten:

  1. Liverpool – 28
  2. Arsenal – 21
  3. Chelsea – 20
  4. Everton – 19
  5. Manchester United – 18
  6. Newcastle United – 17
  7. Tottenham Hotspur – 17
  8. Aston Villa – 13
  9. Wigan Athletic – 12

Team USA Defeats Serbia 96-66, Win Gold at 2016 Olympics

http://i2.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/team-usa-defeats-serbia-96-66-wi.jpg?fit=480%2C480

Team USA got off to a shaky start in its Gold medal game against Serbia, but Kevin Durant made sure that Coach K wouldn’t have to sweat it out. Following a sloppy first quarter that ended with the USA holding a four-point lead, Durant exploded in the second half to give the United States a 52-29 lead.

The dominant second quarter carried over into the second half as Team USA completely manhandled Serbia. The Red, White and Blue stretched the lead to 36 after three, making the fourth quarter a mere formality.

Kevin Durant led all scorers with 30. With seven rebounds, Carmelo Anthony became the all-time leader in rebounding at the Olympics. He is now the all-time Olympics leader in games, points, rebounds and Gold medals. After the game an emotional Carmelo announced his retirement from Olympic play.

“We fought. It wasn’t always pretty,” Melo told NBCSports during his post game television interview. “We came together July 17 and we all committed for this one reason. It was a special moment for me. This is the end, this is it for me.”

The game also marked Coach K’s last as head coach of Team USA. Gregg Popovich will now take over the reins.

Alex Rodriguez not joining Marlins, any other team ‘this season’

http://i2.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Alex-Rodriguez-4.jpg?fit=600%2C407

Alex Rodriguez

Alex Rodriguez has no plans to play professional baseball again — at least in 2016.

On Monday, Rodriguez’s spokesman Ron Berkowitz released a statement putting to rest any speculation about A-Rod signing with the Miami Marlins or any other MLB team.

With A-Rod’s Yankees playing career officially over and Miami having lost Giancarlo Stanton for the season to an injury, the Marlins admitted they would explore the possibility of signing the 41-year-old. One reporter even insisted the union was going to happen.

While A-Rod is one of the best players in MLB history, it’s clear his best days are behind him. He’s only hitting .200 this season and was hardly getting playing time on a mediocre Yankees team, which led to a small rift with his former manager in Rodriguez’s final week. There’s no reason to think A-Rod would make the Marlins or any other team better given the way he has played.

Olympics 2016: Team USA"s Ryan Crouser wins gold in men"s shot put

http://i1.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Screen_Shot_2016-08-18_at_8.24.36_PM.0.0.png?fit=640%2C426

The Americans finished 1-2 in the shot put.

Ryan Crouser can throw an iron ball farther than anyone else. He threw the 16-pound shot put an Olympic record 22.52 meters (73"10.75) to win Olympic gold in thrilling fashion on Thursday in Rio.

Crouser couldn"t contain his excitement after his Olympic record throw. He held his arms high in victory for moments after the throw.

Joe Kovacs of the U.S. finished in the silver medal position with a throw of 21.78 meters -- a throw that would have won many Olympic titles. Tomas Walsh of New Zealand won bronze with a throw of 21.36 meters.

Tomasz Majewski of Poland won the last two golds in shot put, in 2008 and 2012. In London he won with a throw of 21.89 meters, which beat out Germany"s David Storl (21.86 meters) and the U.S."s Reese Hoffa (21.23 meters). He finished sixth this time around.

Crouser and Kovacs continued a strong U.S. tradition in the shot put. Team USA has medaled every year since 1984, and Adam Nelson (2004), Randy Barnes (1996) and Mike Stulce (1992) are all recent Olympic champions.

Crouser was a world junior champion in 2009 -- and he won a silver in the discus -- but hadn"t won a medal as a senior competitor until Thursday.

Why the U.S. women’s 4x100 team will race on an empty track to qualify for the final

http://i2.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/usa-today-9480446.0.jpg?fit=640%2C426

Allyson Felix"s collision with another runner nearly cost the Americans, but her astute thinking afterwards helped ensure the team gets another chance Thursday night.

The U.S. women"s 4x100 relay team was done in Rio, and then it wasn"t. For a brief time Thursday, the Americans were stuck in limbo following a disastrous last-place qualification run that saw Allyson Felix collide with another runner while trying to hand off the baton. Now given a second chance to post a better qualifying time thanks to a successful protest to the IAAF, Olympic gold is again within reach.

At 6 p.m. ET in Rio, they"ll run again to set an official qualifying time. Here"s how we got to this point.

What happened in qualifying?

Felix was finishing up the second leg of the qualifying race Thursday morning when a Brazilian runner in the next lane collided with her. This caused Felix to fumble the the baton just as she was about to hand it off to teammate English Gardner, who had already started running to build momentum for the hand off.

The result was chaos as the Americans scrambled, but credit must be given here to Felix. She realized that the only way the U.S. would able to lodge a successful protest regarding the collision that interfered with her handoff to Gardner was to finish the race. If the team didn"t log an official time in qualifying -- even a downright terrible time -- it wouldn"t be able to file an appeal.

So the Americans gathered themselves and finished off the race in 1:06.71,more than 23 seconds behind all the other teams. For comparison, Jamaica won the qualifying with a time of 41.79 seconds, and every team that qualified had a time under 43 seconds. Right after the race, there was already talk of an appeal.

How did the appeal work?

The U.S. filed an appeal with the IAAF, the governing body that runs international track and field competition, immediately following the end of the race. Felix confirmed in an interview with NBC Sports afterwards that the team wouldn"t waste any time protesting the result.

"I got bumped coming into the exchange zone," Felix said. "It just completely threw me off balance. I tried to pull it together to get it to English. Maybe if I had one more step I could’ve, but I was falling as I was going to her."

The IAAF proceeded to review video of the race and determined a violation occurred when Felix got bumped on the right side by the Brazilian runner who crept into her lane. As a result, the U.S. was given another chance to run and Brazil was disqualified.

What does the U.S. need to do now?

In order to advance to the Olympic final, the Americans need post a time better than 42.70 seconds in their time trial on Thursday night at 6 p.m. ET. They"ll be running alone, which should be an interesting sight for fans watching NBC"s live stream.

Canada and China both finished qualifying in 42.70 seconds, but Canada officially finished seventh after the IAAF broke down their times to thousands of a second. So the U.S. will knock China out if it can beat that time, which understandably has the Chinese upset. They"ve filed their own appeal against Team USA"s reinstatement, per the IAAF, although it"s unclear how officials will rule on that.

Four years ago in London, an American group led by Felix shattered the world record with a time of 40.82 seconds. They don"t even need to come close to that to move on to the final, so now that they"ve gotten a reprieve, the odds are certainly in their favor. And without anyone running next to them Thursday night, we don"t need to be concerned about another collision blowing up the plan.

Snoop Dogg was ‘kind of mad’ about son quitting UCLA football team

http://i1.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/snoop-dogg-was-kind-of-mad-about.jpg?fit=640%2C360

Snoop Cordell Broadus UCLA

Cordell Broadus quit the UCLA football team for the second in his playing career — a decision that disappointed his father, Snoop Dogg.

Snoop was a guest on Hot 97 with “Ebro in the Morning” and talked about son Cordell walking away from UCLA football for a second time.

“It was heartbreaking, it was crushing,” said Snoop. “But at the same time I saw it was a burden on his shoulders. I never wanted him to feel like he had to do anything for me. I showed him how to play football for him. I just love the fact that he was great at it and he could get to that level.”

Snoop then explained that Cordell’s desire and heart did not lie with football.

“His spirit wasn’t into it. He wanted to do other things. I understand that because I started off as an athlete and music and everything else overwhelmed that. I followed my heart and I followed my dreams.

“I kind of was mad, but how can I be mad at you for discovering who you are and becoming you? What I wanted you to be may not have been you, but what you want to be is going to be all you.”

Cordell quit the UCLA football team about a year ago just before the Bruins began fall practice. Then after the season, he realized how much he missed the game and wanted another shot at the team. UCLA gave him that chance, but then he decided again that football wasn’t for him.

Aside from football, Cordell, a wide receiver, was interested in film and was designing an underwear line.

Here’s video of his father’s comments:

In 1992, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and the rest of the Dream Team took the Olympics by storm and influenced and inspired basketball players around the world.

In 2008, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade and the Redeem Team brought home a Gold medal after the United States’ embarrassing performance at the ’04 Olympics.

If the teams were to play, who do you think would win?

WATCH: DeMarcus Cousins Won’t Let Team USA Teammates Off Of Bus

http://i0.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Screen-Shot-2016-08-08-at-3.37.00-PM.png?fit=640%2C516

Snapchat has already landed Draymond Green in hot water once this summer and his social media antics caught up to him again over the weekend when he pissed off Boogie Cousins. Upset that he was being featured on Green’s Snapchat, Cousins took matters into his own hands and blocked his teammates from being able to exit the bus. Unsurprisingly, hilarity ensued:

After the video made the rounds on the internet, Boogie retaliated by posting videos of him roasting his teammates at the Opening Ceremony on Instagram:

The 2016 Team USA is truly a national treasure.

Paul George’s 20 Points Leads Team USA to a 113-69 Victory Over Venezuela

In their second preliminary matchup of the 2016 Olympics, Team USA found a way to overcome an extremely slow start, with too many turnovers, en route to a 44-point win.

There were five ties through the game’s first quarter, with an 18-18 tie after one. Venezuela was very successful in slowing the Americans scorching hot pace. Kobe Bryant‘s 35-year-old cousin, John Cox, scored 7 of Venezuela’s first 9 points and helped to establish a halfcourt, foul-and-turnover-filled first 15 minutes. At one point, the Americans had 9 field goals, 8 turnovers and 7 assists.

With his squad up 28-22, Carmelo Anthony stripped Venezuelan big man Gregory Echenique and hit a big three-ball in transition to start to break the game open. Anthony and Kevin Durant took care of the scoring in the first half–11 and 10 points for each of them–while Jimmy Butler and DeAndre Jordan injected some much needed energy into the Americans. They were a major reason the Americans outscored the Venezuelans 30-8 in the second quarter.

Paul George scored 12 of his 20 points in the second half. He got buckets in bunches and provided the exclamation point with a big dunk in the closing moments of the fourth.

Cox led Venezuela in scoring with 19. Team USA finished with 24 assists and 11 turnovers. At the start of the third, they stopped settling for jumpers and began bulldozing their way to the rim. With the lead in the high 30s in the fourth, Coach Mike Krzyzewski experimented with a small lineup of George, Butler, DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry and Harrison Barnes, which could be something to keep an eye on.

George and the Americans are back in action on Wednesday night, at 6 EST, against Australia.

Andrew Bogut has great comment about facing Team USA

http://i2.wp.com/www.truesportsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/andrew-bogut-1.png?fit=561%2C284

Andrew Bogut

The Australians may be underdogs entering their Group A game against the United States on Wednesday at the Summer Games in Rio, but don’t tell that to Andrew Bogut.

The longtime NBA center refuses to be intimidated by Team USA even though the U.S. team is stacked with NBA stars. After Australia beat Serbia on Monday, Bogut talked about the Boomers’ attitude entering their game with the US.

Bogut wanted to issue the autograph warning to his teammates because he’s seen such things happen before.

“(Facing the Americans is) the ultimate test. It’s the best team in the world, the best players in the world, so I think if we go out there with the right mind-set and compete with them, win or lose we’ll be happy with that,” Bogut told USA Today.

Bogut’s fear about having the proper attitude is legitimate. Back at the London Olympics, we saw an opponent ask Kobe Bryant for an autograph after losing to the US (video here).

How are you supposed to beat an opponent when you’re starstruck? The Australian team is full of NBA players like Patty Mills, Matthew Dellavedova and Aron Baynes in addition to Bogut, so maybe they’ll enter the contest with the attitude that they belong there.

For the third time in two weeks, Team USA beat up on China, this time defeating them 119-62 in Team USA’s first preliminary game. China jumped out to a 1-0 lead to start the game, but that didn’t last for long as USA poured it on over the next 40 minutes.

Kevin Durant led the way with 25 points and 6 assists, DeMarcus Cousins dropped 17 and grabbed 5 boards and DeMar DeRozan continued his posterization campaign with another huge dunk:

For China, former NBA player Yi Jianlin had 25 points.

In their previous two matchups, Team USA defeated China 106-57 and 107-57. Team USA’s next game is Monday, August 8 against Venezuela, who they beat 80-45 in July.
